Netherwood Hotel & Spa

My partner and I recently spent two nights in a self catering chalet at the Netherwood. The chalet was looked a little dated from outside but was beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped and comfortable inside, we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The little extras- chocolate, mini bottle of prosecco etc were lovely touches. A couple of points could be improved upon- the hot tub took until midnight to reached the set temperature- this was a bit disappointing as we were looking forward to this on our first evening. The TV in the lounge was too small for the room- we ended up moving the furniture closer so we could see it better. Overall though, a lovely stay- thank you.

On a visit to see my friend, she booked an Afternoon Tea for us at this amazing venue. We couldn't fault anything. The food was excellent and they had their Christmas decorations up and two lovely open fires, but what stood out the most, were the staff. They were so nice and welcoming, nothing was to much trouble for any of them. We met five different members and they're a credit to Netherwood. A wonderful afternoon

We are so happy we chanced upon this amazing hotel. She is a grand old lady and a privilege to stay in her! We normally stay in a large hotel in Windermere but are so glad we tried the Netherwood. Cannot wait to come back. The property and facilities are great and the staff are fabulous. The cheerful greeting we got from Sharon as we checked in really set the tone for a fabulous stay. She was so happy and helpful and always had time for a chat when we walked past. She is a gem! Shout out to all the other lovely staff that looked after us, the lovely breakfasts and dinners we enjoyed and Wren the housekeeper and Rachel whom we met as we were checking out but whom was again a other warm and lovely lady. Very well looked after by all the staff at the hotel. The room was good but a little tired. Fantastic views from the room. A very nice touch was a bottle of bubbles on arrival (they knew it was a birthday trip) Fantastic that you can take your dog with you, the main reason for selecting this hotel. The food was good. The location was great for what we wanted. We will definitely return. A few more dog poo bins are required around the gardens

My husband and I had three nights at the Netherwood recently and enjoyed some Spa time and a massage each too. Our whole stay was fabulous. The room was spacious and comfortable with lovely views over the coast. Spotlessly clean. The staff are all friendly and professional and really helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The Spa is lovely with robes and slippers provided. The massage was amazing! Evening meals in the hotel were fabulous! I highly recommend this hotel, it is our favourite place for a relaxing treat. All the facilities in Grange are no more than 10-15 minutes walk away.

We stayed for a short two-night break with our dog and honestly didn't want to leave! What a stunning hotel! Set in a gorgeous location opposite the bay, the grounds and property were very well maintained and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our room was lovely; warm, clean and well-stocked with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. We had breakfast and dinner here, and the food was fantastic - hot, fresh and so well presented. But the best thing was the exceptional customer service, delivered by every member of staff we met, from the housekeepers and receptionists to the bartender and restaurant team. Everyone was absolutely wonderful! Welcoming, friendly, polite and attentive - nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely be back again soon! Thank you for an amazing experience.

Just had lunch, lovely setting with views over Morecombe bay. Nice quality fish and chips. Person who served food was pleasant and professional. Person who took order and who we needed to pay for bill was a bit lost and had to ask a number of times

My husband and I were married here in Aug 2025 and had the most magical time. We stayed in the turret rooms together with our baby girl and it is just so beautiful. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff who helped us organise our wedding and a massive thank you in particular to Rachael and Charlotte for all their help. The views from the hotel during our wedding were just gorgeous and the food and decor were of an excellent standard. Thoroughly recommend it as a wedding location!
